Junior Nick Willham:

Nick has continued to improve throughout the season. He rushed for over 100 yards against Paoli on Homecoming and 85 yards against a very tough Decatur Central defense. Nick has done everything asked of him by the team. He takes a majority of the scout reps. Nick has improved his ball handling skills and blocking skills as well. He is a fierce competitor and a credit to our football program.

Congratulations Nick!

Junior Lauren Spencer:

Lauren ran a career-best time of 23:09 at the Johnson County meet on September 30. Although Lauren is only in her second year of varsity cross country, she has firmly placed herself as our #3 runner this season. Over the course of the last two seasons, Lauren has lowered her time by over 4 minutes. Lauren has a great attitude, and we can always count on her to do what we need her to do in practice and at meets. Lauren is also outstanding in the classroom. Last week she was nominated for the Academic All-State cross country team.

Congratulations Lauren!

Senior Conner Terhune:

Conner Terhune ran a season-best time of 17:41 at the Johnson County meet on September 30. A 4-year member of the cross country team, Conner has qualified with the team for the semi-state each of the past three seasons. His approach to cross country training, especially on the track, shows the younger runners on the team that, even though the race is 3 miles, speed still matters. Conner also runs for the track team in the spring and has qualified for the regional each of the past three seasons as part of the 4x800 relay team. We will definitely miss his leadership in both sports!

Congratulations Conner!

Senior Alexia Pero:

Alexia is a senior in the cheer program and has grown and matured as an athlete over the past few years. She is always
willing and eager to step-up and try new skills even if she might be a little nervous about it. She is a true leader and an asset to the GHS cheer program.

Congratulations Alexia!
