Start of School Preparations

Posted by on in Greenwood High School News
Good morning.

This is Todd Garrison, Principal at Greenwood High School. We hope everyone is enjoying their summer and ready to make preparations to return to school on July 30th.  At this time, less than half of our students are registered for school. Parents, if you have not registered your child (you should have previously received confirmation if you already registered), please do so as soon as possible. We have linked a document which simplifies our directions for registration, if you have not registered yet. The document provides directions for returning students, new students, and how to obtain your forgotten username/password.

If your child is entering grades 10-12, and you would rather register in person, pay your fee statement, follow your class schedule, and/or speak with our registered nurse, you may do so Tuesday, July 23rd and Wednesday, July 24th from 7:30am to 11:30am. Students cannot come to schedule pick-up without first being registered. If your child is an incoming freshman, and you would rather register and visit the school in person, you may do so Thursday, July 25th from 7:30am to 11:30am and/or 5pm-6:30pm. Counselors will be available during all schedule pick-up days/times. Freshmen Orientation is Thursday, July 25th in the main gym beginning at 6:30pm.

Of course, all students’ grades 9-12 may complete all registration requirements online by following the directions provided.

Lastly, we ask all families pay a minimum of $50 towards their student’s fee statement. Partial or full fee payments can be made online by clicking the EZ School Pay.com link located on our website OR payment is accepted on schedule pick-up days by cash or check only.

As always, if you have any questions, contact the high school at 889-4005.  This message can be found on our high school website along with the registration document. We look forward to seeing all students July 30th. Thank you. Continue reading

2018-2019 Yearbook Spring Supplement Ready

Posted by on in Greenwood High School News
This link will lead you to the 2018-2019 Spring yearbook supplement. This PDF contains graduation, Prom, musical, all spring sports, etc. https://timberlinesonline.files.wordpress.com/2019/06/ghs-2019-spring-supplement.pdf

Please print this supplement on your home printer or using one of many local printers, such as UPS at https://www.upsstoreprint.com/

Printed supplement copies will not be available to pick up at the school this year. The supplement printing cost has never been included in the yearbook cost, and for the past two years, we've had hundreds -- yes hundreds -- unclaimed to the tune of $500+ each year. With the increased cost to the yearbook staff for a larger book this year and that cost not affecting the price students paid, we simply cannot continue to use yearbook funds to print the supplements. Most schools are doing away with spring coverage altogether, but we definitely did not want to do that. In the future, we might add the printed supplement option as an "add on" for yearbook purchasers.  Continue reading
