Longworth Scholarship

Posted by on in Southwest Elementary News
The Southwest Elementary PTO wishes to honor the memory of Jennifer and Dion Longworth, and as such, has created a special award in the amount of $1,000.00 to carry on her legacy of excellence in education.  It is our hope that the recipients of this honor will carry on the love Jennifer had for learning as they further their education beyond high school.

The Memorial Award will be presented to a graduating Greenwood High School senior seeking continuing education.  For the first 11 years, first consideration will be given to former students of Mrs. Longworth.  Recipients will be selected by a panel of administration and staff at Southwest Elementary based upon application information, teacher recommendation, and a short essay response.

Please email your completed application form, teacher recommendation, short essay, high school transcript, and attendance record to Ms. Beth Guilfoy (bguilfoy@gws.k12.in.us) on or before April 7, 2017.
