During the school year,  daily announcements are updated by 7:30 a.m. each school day. Video Announcements are posted at approximately 9:15 a.m. after the broadcast team has produced the daily show. GHS teachers are responsible for showing or reading announcements to their 5th period classes daily.

Seniors, tomorrow is Honors Day. Remember to bring your cap and gown. They are required. Seniors will report to the main gym in their caps and gowns at 12:15 p.m. The actual ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Parents are welcome to attend, and their seating will begin at 1:15 p.m.

The Greenwood Technology Department is looking for student workers this summer. The job responsibilities will primarily be inspecting, cleaning, sorting, and helping repair Chromebooks. With finals coming up, Mrs. Williams’ class would like to share some study tips to help you prepare to earn the best grades possible. They will share one tip a day through next Monday. Today’s study tip is to spread out your studying so study in advance and don’t cram the night before.

If you attended Westwood and remember Mrs. Kinkade, you might be interested to know she is retiring this year. Mrs. Stadtfeld is collecting notes from former students as a surprise for her. If you would like to contribute a note, please take it to Mrs. Stadtfeld in Room C118 by the end of school on Friday.

Tomorrow is Honors Day. All juniors in C9 will attend as usual, but seniors may choose to report to C9 or to Honors Day. Attendance will be taken. Seniors, remember that part of Honors Day involves posing for the official Class of 2022 picture in your cap and gown. If you choose to go to C9 tomorrow, you will not be part of that. By the way, all seniors need to turn in their panoramic picture orders by the end of school tomorrow.

You’ve probably noticed QR codes scattered around the school. Point your phones at these for trivia questions. You get a point for each question answered correctly. The students, faculty, and staff with the most points at the end of school today will earn prizes in the form of Target gift cards.

All books are overdue. Please return them to the IMC as soon as possible so that they can complete their inventory. If you have lost your book, please talk to Mrs. Reynolds or Mrs. White in the IMC for replacement options.
